Refund Policy

0. Scope & relationship to other policies
This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to all purchases of FitMyGenes’ digital genetic analysis services. This policy forms part of the Terms of Service and applies regardless of the user’s country of residence.
1. Nature of the product
The product is a digital service that involves custom processing of user-provided genetic data to generate an informational report. Once processing begins, the service cannot be undone or resold.
2. When a refund is available
Refunds may be granted only in the following situations:
- Payment was made but processing did not start.
- A technical failure on our side prevented report generation.
- The service could not be delivered as described.
Refunds are issued at the Company’s discretion within these bounds.
3. When a refund is not available
Refunds are not available in the following situations:
- No refunds once genetic data processing has begun.
- No refunds after the report has been generated or delivered.
- No refunds based on dissatisfaction with results or interpretations.
- No refunds due to misunderstanding of the informational nature of the service.
- No refunds for delays caused by invalid or corrupted uploaded files.
4. Right of withdrawal (EU context)
The service is a digital service involving personalized data processing. By consenting to processing and beginning the service, you expressly agree to the loss of any statutory right of withdrawal where applicable.
5. Chargebacks & disputes
- You are encouraged to contact support before initiating a chargeback.
- Unauthorized chargebacks may result in suspension of access.
- We may contest chargebacks when the service has been delivered.
6. How to request a refund
To request a refund, email support@fitmygenes.com and include:
- Order identifier
- Email used for purchase
- Reason for request
Requests should be submitted within 30 days of purchase.
7. Refund method & timing
Approved refunds are issued using the original payment method. Refund processing typically takes 5–10 business days. We are not responsible for delays caused by payment providers or banks.
8. Taxes & fees
Refunds exclude non-refundable transaction fees where permitted by law. Taxes, if collected, are refunded in accordance with applicable regulations.
9. Policy updates
We may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy from time to time. The effective date above reflects the current version. If we make material changes, we will provide notice via the website or by email where appropriate.
